Make sure to stay an extra day in Vancouver —after Roundup— to attend.

High quality lithogeochemical data, often with 40-60 chemical elements with excellent detection limits is now ubiquitous across the mineral exploration industry.

Are you getting full value out of that data? Do you have the right data analytical tools at your finger tips? Can your geochemical data help you recognize opportunity for critical metal byproducts to add value to your project?

In this course, we will introduce participants to basics of lithogeochemical digestion and analytical methods and QA/QC so you can be sure you are collecting data that is “fit for purpose” for your needs. We will then introduce a series of case studies in which participants will be able to utilize IoGas software to get “hands on” with the data and interrogate a series of datasets and make interpretations on recognizing lithologies within highly altered rocks, delineating alteration domains and identifying pathfinder elements. Finally, we will demystify the application of data analytic and machine learning approaches to lithogeochemical data, introducing both unsupervised and supervised machine learning approaches and allowing participants to test these approaches to how they can help you deal with large datasets.

The course is presented by MDRU, Simon Griffiths (3rd Planet Exploration Services), Imdex and ALS Goldspot.
