MDRU is pleased to announce SC120 – “Practical Use of Portable XRF in Mineral Exploration”. In this one-day course we will cover pXRF theory, calibration, standardization, QAQC and sample preparation best practices. This will be followed by case studies presented by members of the minerals industry who are using pXRF data to add value and speed up their exploration. The course will include a significant hands-on component, including having pXRF instruments and various sample suites for analysis, as well as datasets. The course will be presented by leading experts on the use and application the practical use of pXRF in mineral exploration and mining, including Michael Hull (Evidence Scientific), James Cleverly (Reflex), Shaun Barker (MDRU), Christina Anstey (Brixton Metals), Simon Griffiths (3PXS) and James Buskard (Undercover Exploration Company). We will have multiple pXRF instruments on-site available for users to become familiar with under supervised operation.
