Metallogeny of the Golden Triangle 2026 Field Course:
Au-Ag VMS, Au-Ag Epithermal and Cu-Au Porphyry Systems
Stewart to Iskut, BC | Aug 30 to Sep 4, 2026
Join MDRU for a technical field course exploring the mineral deposits of the Stikine Terrane.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Stikine Terrane of northwestern British Columbia remains one of the most significant mineralized belts in Canada, yet our understanding of its complex stratigraphy and deposit timing continues to evolve. This field course bridges the gap between regional exploration and active production, integrating four years of new research from the Golden Triangle Stratigraphy Project to provide new insights for the region’s metallogeny.
Before heading into the field, we will hold an online technical session to review recent advancements and regional timing. Over the following six days, we will travel from the Stewart Camp to the Iskut region for intensive drill core reviews of world-class systems. This includes the Au-Ag VMS of Eskay Creek, the high-grade Au-Ag Epithermal mineralization of Scottie and Cambria Gold, and the Cu-Au Porphyry systems at Red Chris and Treaty Creek.
