Comprehensive geological\, eng ineering\, metallurgical\, environmental\, and economic datasets are requi red to adequately assess mining behaviour. The integration of these data a t numerous scales allows for the creation of predictive rock mass behaviou r models\, including blasting\, caving\, comminution\, liberation\, recove ry\, and environmental behaviour. This course will focus on the key techni cal and financial aspects of orebody knowledge and how these can be integr ated to predict and optimize mineral processing throughout the mining valu e chain. We will also address common barriers to successful orebody knowle dge including discipline silos\, lack of a common vocabulary\, knowledge t ransfer\, and data utilization. The course will be delivered over 5 days t hrough a combination of classroom lectures\, lab demonstrations\, data col lection and modelling examples\, real-world case studies\, and practical e xercises.
