Golden Ridge Resources Ltd. announced (July 12, 2018) that drilling with a second rig had commenced at their Hank project in BC’s Golden Triangle. This second rig was set up on the Kaip Zone (KZ) target to test the continuation of mineralization at depth below an intersection of 21.6m of 6.26 gpt Au and 52 gpt Ag from within a porphyry dyke.
The Kaip Zone was named after a MDRU MSc student who authored a research paper on the property. Andrew W. Kaip recognized that the lead (Pb) isotope signature of sulphides associated with gold mineralization matched that of the Bald Bluff porphyry, a large intrusion at the south end of the property (Kaip 1997). Golden Ridge performed $1.7 M in exploration on the Hank property in 2018.
