MDRU Exploration Geochemistry Symposium 2021

MDRU has long been a leader in exploration geochemistry research and training. To celebrate the MDRU Exploration Geochemistry Initiative and contributions of the late Dr. Peter Winterburn, we are running an Exploration Geochemistry Initiative Symposium featuring speakers from industry and academia. This event will be hosted in-person, complimentary to all MDRU members & non-members. The talks will be captured live via a streaming platform for anyone who can’t attend in-person.

To register, please email mdruevents@eoas.ubc.ca and indicate whether you would attend in-person or virtually.   (Registration will close on September 12, 2021 at 11:59pm PST)

Additional Information

More Info:

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, UBC has worked in partnership with the public health agencies to ensure we are part of a coordinated response.  Indoor organized seated gatherings can have a capacity of 50 people or 50% capacity, whichever is greater. Once we have reached capacity, we will put you on a waitlist should there be a cancellation.  At that time, you will be provided a link to join virtually should we reach full capacity.  Masks are required in all public indoor settings. By order of the PHO, proof of vaccination will be required.  Starting September 13, you must have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.  By October 24, you must be fully vaccinated.   MDRU is proactively monitoring the PHO order on gatherings and events guidelines. Should the in-person component be canceled, this event will be moved from hybrid to fully virtual.
